THOSE with HID, how did you adjust your beam?
alot of other drivers think i'm high beaming so i adjusted my beam lower to almost infront of my car, it feels weird now because before it extended far, what did everyone else do?
the temprature rating does NOT have anything to do with brightness! no matter if you have 5000, 6000 or 8000 kelvin HID's, if they put out the same amount of LUMENS, they will all be equally bright. the temprature numbers have to do with color - the 8000K's are the most blue, and typical factory HID's are around 4300K, a much whiter shade. hope that helps with something
The problem you are having with the HIDs is because you are probably using them in stock headlamp systems when HIDs are designed specifically for projectors. You are getting flashed for high beams because that is exactly what they are now. Put them in a projector and focus them at the location you had originally and you will be fine. This will give you the HID brightness and distance without blinding those in oncoming traffic.
