running lean
noticed today that I run lean when using nitrous, what do I have to do to fix this?? Do I need one of those AFC fuel controllers, if yes, isnt there one out there that has VTEC adjustment controller built in to it, I thought I read about obe of those posted here somewhere.

you generally want to run 12:1 or 13:1 air/fuel mixture at MOST. any higher and you are too lean, and this can lead to detonation.

you could also go wet shot, which injects nitrous AND fuel into the mix, helping you keep the mixture good. But I'd only do that if you're running at least a 75 shot.
how does detonation sound like??? i dont want to have it happen. ok..im running 80 shot and around 5 seconds after being on nitrous, my car starts to slow down and sounds funny like its bogging or something.

yeah, that's very bad. I suggest you look into that, and turn down your shot. there are some nitrous systems that will automatically cut the nitrous shot if you run too lean. you may also want to look into that.

I'm running a 50 shot (for those that dont know, this is the max you can run on a stock civic ex w/o getting a larger fuel pump and internals, a 75 shot will kill your engine!!!)- anyway, it is a wet system, the question was for those that have a afc controller- will the v-afc allow me to adjust the fuel curve to supply more fuel when using the nitrous
