InJen CAI
Ive searched several post for the installation procedure on the Injen CAI and i do not know if it is needed to cut the battery tray to install the lower portion of the CAI.
some post said it is not needed
some post said it is needed.
i am confused. which is the proper method?
i will be installing my RS Grill at the same time.. so my bumper will be removed anyways.. so whats the deal? cut or no cut?
thank you.

You dont have to cut the battery tray, I didnt cut it at all, but for my instructions it asked me to cut the lower-fender rubber thing. Dont cut that the pipe can fit through it, it just needs a little forcing. I cut mine and just ended up tapeing it back on. Hope this was helpful

Exactly i dont know where you got that from, when i got mine the instruction didnt even say to do that. I didnt even take my fron bumper off, just raise the one side and go up underneath the bumper and thats all, i cut my rubber thing though. it didnt do any harm. i hope

If you get an AEM CAI, then you don't have to worry about cutting anything. THe only thing you have to worry about is being made fun of by injencivic.

I used to have an Injen CAI until i sold it because the filter would block my bumper.
It was a good intake and i would definetely buy it again. Now i have a red AEM SRI and the quality IS BETTER, but of course it doesn't sound as loud as Injen.
Injens tend to sound LOUD and deep.
AEM's (depending on the engine type) tend to sound deep and have this ROARING sound.
In my car, it makes a roaring sound.
In my friend's Accord V6 it makes his car sound like a Mustang GT (which is a V-8)
AEM & Injen
To each his own...

I had to trim off a corner of the battery tray. The part that sticks up off the bottom up the side. When you get it all in there you'll see what I mean. It doesn't hurt anything since the top piece covers it over any way... you just won't have a double layer of plastic... oh well.
