Quick answer if you dont mind.
hey guys i have a simple question. I bought this gauge bezel, you know the trim around the speedometer/odometer. im wondering how do you access the original trim, like taking off the glass? so do you just unscrew the 2 screws on top and the glass will just pop right off? no more hassles whatsoever?
cmon guys just help me, because im pretty dumb on these stuff.
I pretty just want to know if the 2 screws are the only thing i need to take off inorder to get the glass off and have access to the original, nothing more nothing complicated. I dont want to do one thing and ends up fvcking up my whole gauges.
thanks

First, remove the two screws at the top of the bezel. Pull that piece out, and there are three screws around the gauge assembly. One at the top, and one on each side at the bottom. Remove these screws and the whole assembly pulls straight out. (after you unplug the two plugs at the top) After you pull the assembly out, you should see how to remove the glass, and the rings around the gauges.

damn sounds like theres alot more things involve than expected. so does that mean that the ring around the gauges doesnt come off just by taking the 2 screws on the top? i have to literally take off the entire piece? damn i know im gonna fvck up my stuff, so please tell me its easier and uncomplicated than what i think it is.

Thats pretty easy to remove. Damn i took my gauges out like 6 times lol cuz the aluminum gauge panel didnt fit perfectly and the 3M tape sux cuz it keeps coming off so i just stick crazy glue on it and it stays. It looks nice

hey so the black cluster is attached by a clip and glue? so that means if i disengage the black cluster, the original fit and finish of it into its original position with a glue will get messed up? i dunno if i wanna do dat, what if my cluster begins acting all loose and shiet after i pull it off from its original glue.

This bezel DIY that I did last year should help. The pics are moved to here though with some others, but you'll get the jist of it.
