There should be an o2 sensow over there to the left and it should just push right on in it. Thats how it was more my injen , and then switched to aem and there both the same ways. hope this helps
Okay the one that is sticking out and has a hole in it. There should of been a hose that cam with the kit.
the hose goes on the intake and goes onto the piece that is sticking out on the engine it is directly across from it when the intake is on. Straight across. As for the whole on the side with the rubber seal around it , thats where the electic sensor plugs into it should just go right in there. Good luck with it , not to hard. And dont forgot to unplug ur negative battrey during install, so it resets ur ecu.

reset ecu mean unconnect the negative of your car battery(the one with black cover) for about 10mins. Then connect it back.
Check this DIY install for AEM CAI, should be same DIY Install

THat is not the o2 sensor!!! the o2 sensors are on the exhaust and control emissions, the sensor you guys are refeering to is IAT, intake air temperature sensor... either way it needs to be plugged into the intake for the ecu to function properly!

i didnt reset my ecu tho, but i gueess it did it on its own and thats why it went away

The "electric thing" is not an 02 sensor it's an IAT which monitors the temperature of your intake adjusting the fuel as needed (you will notice that you will lose significant gas milege) this should be snug in the rubber grommet. The other hole (which comes out off the intake) is a breather line which attaches behind your valve cover. You NEED to reset your ECU!!! to do this I recommend (if you have a radio with presets) opening your fuse box and pull the fuse labeled "F.I ECU" (Fuel Injection ECU) pull this for about 10-15 minutes. After putting it back in start your car and DONT TOUCH THE GAS for 10 minutes, turn off, on, off, on and your good to go..so stomp on it and hear it whistle, and groan at high RPM's...FYI: You should reset your ECU after any modification.
