You could probably do it, but it would be square... unless you had some custom body work done to put a gas tank cover in. I assume you're talking about a riveted round cover like on the Audi TT. But I don't think that would look very good as a square piece like ours is.

Ya man...haven't u heard of the new pyrotechnically activated fuel door?
A small explosive charge pops it open in like a few nanoseconds

It can be done. You will probably need to extend the gas tank feeder line a bit, bondo the square hole in the shape of a circle and have a popper latch installed correctly. To me it isn't a mod that is worth the money. You can always move the feeder line to the rear behind the taillight and bondo up that square, giving it a cleaner look.

yea i think it would be cleaner to just relocate the gas door in the trunk and keep the outside clean and shaved

If you were to do this, YOU REALLY NEED TO PUT A LOCK ON IT. Cuz anyone can jus open it and put salt in ur tank.

Sugar won't do a thing, except maybe clog the fuel filter, Sugar doesn't disolve in gasoline, if you don't believe me, put a little gas in a jar and add sugar, you can swirl it and shake till your blue in the face but it won't disolve.

I heard that over time sugar crystalizes in the gas tank. Don't know how true that is, but hey.

even if it crystalizes it still will just clog the fuel filter.

Actually, this can be done. However, I've read that filling the tank will be a VERY slow process and you're better off just leaving it there.
