rbnoTURBO COST?
Hi! I posted this in Off topic cuz i know this is prolly the most browsed section.
I just want to know what you have paid...or are willing to pay for a complete turbo kit. (i.e. custom manifold, bov, intercooler, lines, piping, fpr, fp, etc.).
I'm doin a little research. And yes I have done a search. I just need to know estimations from everyone, or at least as many people as possible about what they would expect to pay or have paid for a turbo kit.
Also please mention what kinds of parts you would like used (i.e. mandrel bent piping, type of BOV, fpr, size of turbo, etc.) and REALISTIC HP gains
PLease keep this on topic.

$3700 plus tax is probably now very close to 4g's
4 crower rods=$750 (177 a rod, 7% sales tax for example)
pistons=around $5-600 let's say 550 including tax
apexi s-afc=$350 incl tax
blitz boost gauge=$300
GReddy universal turbo timer=$100
keep in mind a clutch and lightened flywheel if you don't have already, i think that would be around $500 w/out installation
one of the most important==dyno runs, which are normally 120-150/hr. unless you know the guy who owns the shop
people don't go apesh*t, these are guesstimated prices, some i found on tornactive but if a few are way off just correct them
all this equals a lot of money for me to feel good about the engine

After months and months of R&D.....adn trial and error
Garrett T3/T4 Turbo.....used.....450$
Apexi intercooler.......................980$
HKS Wastegate........................350$
HKS Blowoff valve.....................100$ (special deal)
Custom Manifiold......................400$
Piping.......................................250$
Fuel management issues havent gotten everything yet but expecting around 500$
These are just the major components, there a few other thing, but cant think of them...I'm sure it will be best to just wait for someone to come out with a kit (HKS)...It will probably end up being cheaper, than what I am dishing out. Thank god for credit cards.
So right now I am looking at about 3000$........all labor being done by myself and friends. I expect to only be running about 7- 9 for boost.
Still in construction, and hope I dont run into any more problems like i have been. But we will see. Got other projects in the works that need completed first.
