is it okay to leave the oem upper grill housing cover?

just got a aftermarket upper grill from procartparts on ebay, installed it with DIY and find out this grill is different than grillcraft's when they did the DIY, and the housing cover with the oem grill doesn't fit with the after market one, so i left it out and installed the grill perfectly. is it okay to leave it out?

Sure, you shouldn't have a problem leaving it out, it doesn't do much. I myself would rather have it in. I'm assuming you have a coupe and that's why it doesn't fit. You can go to any Honda dealership and buy that part for the SEDAN, it will fit with that grill. It's $20 or so.

Oh....And another thing.

SEARCH NEXT TIME YOU PIECE OF SH*T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yo, same thing here 2 draw backs to not having that part of the grill. 1st = more bugs get into your engine bay 2- security into your engine. Someone can pop it up very easily. Spend the $17 + change (for the sedan backing) and get the plastic piece, it also makes the engine bay a little bit cleaner my .02
