Injen CAI?

hey for all you Injen CAI owners out there...have you tried popping out that OEM fog light piece? you know the plastic piece where the fog light is suppose to go. If so have you noticed any gains from doing that? i have an AEM CAI right now, and it's all good...but i was thinking about how the injen CAI went into the bumper and how that fog light piece could be removed. thanks for any info. I took mine out, all the way out! I would recommend that you don't cut the thing entirely off, maybe leave the section closest to the center of the car intact. That way you can hinge it so it deflects the air toward the filter.

After I removed mine, you could see my air-horn compressor, not good. I've fabricated a sheet metal deflector since then. BTW, I used a Dremel tool with the cutoff wheel. Cuts through that plastic like butter!

eh, no improvement in performance detected, but I have AT, so my *** dyno might not detect subtle changes in performance.

took mine out and as far as water goes dont worry about it unless you submerge it completly in water, and if you do that then the cai is the last of your worries!!
