As perhaps you have noted, the 7th gen Civic has its virtues. Speed, however, is not one of them. If you are concerned about having a fast car (and there is nothing wrong with that) then KEEP THE LUDE MAN. There are many ppl here who like fast cars and only wish they could have a prelude instead of their slow-*** civics.

Hey, why is this in the tech stuff forum anyway?

more than likely the lude has 2.2-2.3 liter engine with 160 HP stock...why would u want a civic? My brother has a 92' Prelude SI and i keep up with him in 1st and 2nd...but when he hits 3rd...my ash is a car length behind....so keep the prelude...its quik!

motor trend says 9.0, ill trust them, i doubt they can do 7.9, my friend has a "90 Beretta GTZ(180 hp, 2.3 Quad4 stock), they have a 0-60 of about 9-9.3 i think. were neck'n'neck. but with 180 hp, i think its either a weight thing, or gearing, i think the gearing is what does it though.

I have a 99 Prelude VTEC. It is the manumatic version. It does 0-60 in 7.5 according to my GTEC performance version. But that is exactly the problem. I want a 5 speed and i really dont want to spend the time or money converting mine to a stick. I love driving my girlfriends 2k2 civic because it is a EX and a 5 speed. I have considered gettin 2002 Si but i just dont like the way they look. Does anyone know if Jackson Racing is developing a Supercharger for the 7th gen.
