[ Cylinder Head Question ]

Does anyone out there know yet whether the k20 cylinder head is compatible with the d17?

The engine rotational direction shouldn't affect the head at all....

I guess this would be a good question for the certified honda tech's out there....

The head swap would convert our sohc to a dohc, that's the whole point of the head swap...

yeah, but the whole displacement difference along with the total size of the heads themselves, i don't think the new head will match up with the d17 block. But i'm not a certified Honda tech. I could be wrong.

It does not fit. The oil and water ports to not line up. The head bolts do not line up. The head spins in an opposite direction of the motor, SO the cams are incorrect.

Swapping heads only worked when you had the same block as on a B series engine.
