hp header problem... need ideas
alright... i just installed my hp header w/ high flow cat and i have a little problem
where the header and the cat fit together, there is an "ok" size leak.... the hook for the hanger is on the bottom if you need to know
also, the header kind of hits the metal bar that you jack your front end up on... im thinking of just putting a soft metal there to stop the noise...
any suggestions would be great
oh yeah, i took it for a test drive and it gave me damned good gains

can we say missing gasket? There is no such thing as an "okay size" leak. There are only ones that "arnt as bad".
How did you do it??? I couldn't get it to fit. If you shaved any mounts, PLEASE post pics for me. If not then explain what you did. Thanks. Also make sure you got the gasket from honda for between the header and cat. I got it for about $14 if I remember right.

And that header with high flow cat is the shizz isn't it?
You've now been granted to run 15s. What else do you have in terms of engine mods?[hr]

Why don't you explain exactly what you did to get it to fit instead of just saying it was a tight squeeze or whatever. I have the part sitting here because I couldn't get it in. Please be more detailed so that you can help us all figure it out. Thanks!

in order to get the header into place, i jacked up the front of the car, my friend went under the car.... he put it up from the bottom of the car through the engine bay at an angle and it was an extremely tight squeeze
sorry, i dont know if you are asking about the shaving the engine mount problem or the actual installation of the header
i just fixed the leak
with the stock gasket and now im going to get pics I also have a 2k2 ex Auto. we couldn't get it to squeeze through from the bottom. Did you slide it in at an angle, like, was the drivers side of the header fit through first then you brought it up at an angle or what. IF you could give some info that would be great. We tried removing the motor mount and jacking the front of the engine up too and still couldnt get it to fit through.

im assuming you are talking about the header... alright i have a 2k2 ex automatic, and this is one of the cars that you do not need to modify whatsoever (no shaving engine block or anything)

alright, next we tilted it so the right side of the header (if you are looking from the front of the car to the back of the car) was higher.... then we just kept pushing and moving it around and it barely squeezed in
hope this helps
