venom doesn't work? hah your wrong!!!!!!!!

just recieved my venom400 unit this morning took me abouta half hour to in stall. works great! atfirst i was like the the hell?!?!?! $300 for this. for some reason once i got out on the highway it started working . going down the on ramp till i came up on the first car alittle over a 1/4 mile doing a 102 MPH (roughly). i don't know if it had to get into the system or what but itsure as hell works now.
now something came to mind. i've been asking anyone how has it how they like it and all but they didn't really like them and hey said " yeah it's ok". they all have EX's and of course ifyou've read any of my other posts you would remember i have a DX. could that be why. IDQcivic told me his is weird and only comes on sometimes and stuff like that. my LED is on almost the whole time while i'm accelerating.
just something to think about!!!!!

i dont know if this is at all accurate, but i honestly think that the VTEC keeps you from noticing too much gains from aftermarket mods. but hey, i could be completely off on this one. dont have vtec, and proud of my LX...

actually the lx models are faster than the ex models. when tested -on a track by experianced drivers- both coupes and both 5-speeds the stock lx was fast by about .2, not much a a different but the lxisn't the slower model. the v-tech on the ex's aren't all that powerful, when i drove one, i didn't even know it had a v-tech. can't even feel it kick in. the ex's do have a bit more HP but they are heavier than the lx models and the little about of HP the ex's have over the lx model doesn't compensate for larger amount of weight. and don't try n argue this fact becaust it won't work. the ex's simply aren't all cracked up to what they're supposed to be.

Very true.

Honda rates the Ex at 127HP, and the LX at 115. However, both stock, they weigh in at 109.1, and 101.4...so that's only 7.7HP difference.

LX all the way, baby!

i want to see some dyno results from the venom or drive a car with one, anyone have it installed on an LX/DX in the Dallas area?

also to note VTEC on D series motors is a waste of money.

test anything you want on a track. the truth is, is that i burn lx's and ex's. the truth is the 7th gen vic is no match up for a 1988 vic hb b16 swap.
but they are pretty to look at and we get great gas milage. all show no go is fine with me but you need a toy also.

p.s. sadboy watch who your talking to its just a car, no need for childish remarks. you a diamond member try to set some type of a example.

yeh i am looking to get the apex'i SAFC for my civic lx. i hear reviews on it just like the reviews were on the venom, its ok. but i'm gonna get it anyways and see how i like it. if all else fails i'll sell it a a stupid person at my school who thinks they know everything about cars for like 500 dollars. one time i sold a pair of "racing pedals" from pepboys fro 60 dollars.lol

lx all the way baby!!!!!

and damn i need to change this username now that my brother has left. it makes me feel dumb...lol
