Need some help with wiring!!!
I bought a shift **** that lights up the numbers in a blue color but my problem is I don't know which of the wires next to the shifter is a positive wire that is connected so it'll light up when I have my parking lights on. Anyone have any suggestions or might know please help. Also what would you recommend to use as a ground?
thanks!

It didnt' come with instructions?
If you want to wire them to your parking lights you can remove your center console and look at the above link for DIY and find the wireing diagram there. Then tap into the wire for your parking lights and run it under the center console to your shiftnob.
MY SUGGESTION: Your lighter plug is only powered when the car is turned to ACC or is on so, if you tap into the lighter + wire you will be able to do it with much less trouble.

get a one of those testers that light up, touch it to the wire, if it lights up, then its the positive wire. or, get a volt meter, and touch the neg. side to a ground and the other to the wire, if you get a reading, then its positive, if no reading, then its negative. or do our cars have rated voltage?

It's for a manual and mine is a gunmetal color. It matches my deck with the blue lights and use to match my gauges. I had the apc reverse indiglo gauges but it looks like it's time to cut them out!!! Any other help would be great and thanks for the help already!!

THANKFULLY I didn't have to cut and KILL my APC reverse indiglo gauges.. The negative wire somehow was cut so there was NO GROUND. I just did it ghetto fabulous style and stripped the wire and wrapped it around my screw. I'll check out the diagram and maybe it'll be easier to buy a tester but aren't those hella expensive? Any other help would be appreciated and as soon as I get it done look for pics b/c I think it'll be a sweet looking interior with the gauges, deck, and shifter being a blue light...haha
