Question about head light parts...

I messed up while clearing my head lights today. I was trying to clean the clear plastic half of the head light and scuffed it up pretty bad. It looks like crap now. I'm wondering if Honda just sells the clear plastic half of the head light. I was using goof off to get some of the adhesive off the plastic and for some reason it just scuffed it up. Any help would be really appreciated.

i did the same thing only with the orange reflector, you can't really tell though, goof off started reacting with the plastic, i about shiot myself. I don't think they sell the parts alone, only the whole unit.

nope...they dont sell that individually...

the lights (well at least my lights) are made in mexico so good luck trying to get ahold of just the chrome insert ...you'll either have to get new lights...or paint the ones u have..be careful if you do that tho...the masking tape will take off the chrome too

oh yeah...the best way of removing black crud from your chrome insert is get a whole bunch of it and roll it up in a ball in your hand...then tap it on the areas where u have the black crud...it will adhere to itself alot better than it will the chrome..and the ball will lift it off...worked for me...can't even tell there was anything on there

It's not the chrome insert...just the outer plastic cover.

hmm...i doubt that would be any easier to get ahold of...could try some plastic polish to take the scuff out..might make it worse tho

if you really want to spend the money for the stock headlights go ahead. For the same price you can get one off Ebay and personalize your car.

another thing you could do is use some fine sandpaper and sand it down, then re-spray it with chrome paint.. or gently sand the whole thing and paint your housings another color, that'll solve it

It's not the housing, insert or chrome part! It's the clear plastic that when you go up to your car you can touch. hehe

Bah maybe I should just get projectors!
