has anyone towed using a civic?

I did a search, don't see anything.

Honda does not reccomend towing with the civic, but I wonder if anyone has experience towing with the civic.

I am looking to buy a bow-rider and obviously have no way to get it home....

Honda says that if you tow something, any damage that occurs due to it is not covered under warranty and can completely void the warranty. It says it in the owners manual. Find a friend with a truck.

If you drive auto..kiss yer transmission bye bye if you tow anything that's over say..800lbs. Civics have too little torque to tow.

This has been discussed b'fore, I think I was the one who asked X_x do a search under "towing" or somethin'. Hell, you could even search under my username and find the topic. It's been discussed more than once, but yeah, find a friend with a truck or buy a beater :\

I've towed a couple of kids on skateboards. Does that count?

I wouldn't tow anything more than a dirtbike or jet ski... I used to tow a dirt bike with my old 91 Mazda 323 with 82 HP and it did it just fine. But don't see the "Honda Gods" if you get a problem ! I would wait till after the warranty is up... (Also there is a hitch for sale in the marketplace if anyone is interested...)
