Automatic Rpm locked at 5000 rpm

i was wondering is it able to unlocked it..when you step on the gas at neutral..
it doesn't locked at 5000 rpm?... cause i know manual can go all da way..
Is there a way?/? thanks..

why would you want to?
i'm pretty sure its there so if u do a neutral drop by accident it might save your tranny.

not good to rev up to 5000 in neutral, repeatedly....
the only time you do it in netral is if you gonna drop the clutch, but don't rev if you dun intend to take off.....very bad for engine

yes. get a new ecm(proformance type) for your car. it should also take off the fuel cut-off. it stops at 180 km/h (100mph)

I'm guessing you have an auto... I have a 5 speed and I can rev it up to red line when I'm at a stop. As far as getting to reve higher I would think that reprograming the computer would do it.

WOuld it have anyhitng to do with the VTEC and it kicking in around 5,000 rpm?
