Nitrous

so, i read through the nitrous post and everything but i still don't know what's better for our car. a wet or dry system? i'm seriously considering nitrous, but want to know everything about it before i buy it. i want to spray i'm guessin a 50 shot, just to be safe since it's on the stock engine. so what does everyone else think?

We need a wet system. Our fuel system doesn't have the capability of delivering enough fuel for a 50 shot, so you'll run lean if you try a dry system and a 50 shot. There's many people here spraying a 50 shot and getting away with it. Although there was a post on another site and somewhere in Off Topic about a guy who was spraying a 50 shot and his intake manifold blew up. Kinda weird that so many pieces were recovered. He must have blown it on the track.

that's what i thought, but my friend is planning on getting the zex dry setup. i'll have to talk to him. so are cars should be easily able to handle a 50 shot wet, right?

I'm sure that if you make a ton of runs with the 50 shot back to back you could run into trouble. However, if you only spray once every blue moon then you'll be allright. I don't get how someone's intake manifold blew up? The pressure from the nitrous isn't that great. Maybe reinforcing this plastic intake manifold is a good thing to do? I'de try encasing it in something like fiberglass.
