intake temp monitor
intake temp monitor
I saw this on my friends '91 Supra. Basically what he did was buy one of those cheap inside/outside car thermometers from JC whitney and routed the wire/sensor through the firewall to the intake and mounted the readout inside the car so he canget a somewhat accurate read on the intake temp. personally i dont have an intake on my car but i thought maybe someone could use this information

I did it before on my 99 civic, monitered my engine bay and intake of intake. I hooked ram air up to it, the intake air if on a highway would be significly less.
how did you route yours into the engine. i know how my friend did his, but thats on a supra so theres a big difference. also, where does the sensor get attached, i cant remember if his was inside the intake or on the outisde of it measuring the actual temp of the intake versus the air flowing through it. i guess the most important thing it to get one of the ones with the longest possible sensor wire. also, did you hard wire yours. I know a lot of these things run off of batteries which is kind of a pain in the *** if you ask me.
