How do I install my shift ****?

I got a Type - R Indigo Blue shift **** coming (which is real cool), and want to know how I take the stock one off...and put the new **** on? Just twist and screw them on and off? Thanks.

remove: unscrew to the LEFT

replace: screw on to the RIGHT.

oh yea, and be sure to reattach the shifter boot while you screw the new one on, or else it will sag.

Or if you have the other kind or non-OEM *****, there are three holes on the sides of the shiftknob itself that you put screws into. In addition, there might be a plastic adaptor that you drop into the **** before placing on the shifter itself. If you have one of these, the steps are:

1. Find out what adaptor fits the top of the shifter.
2. Drop in the adaptor into the ****
3. Screw in the three screws that are provided (they usually use hex keys). Done

If you want the shiftboot to fit snugly at the top of the ****, simply go from underneath the boot and using a thick tape, wrap it around the shifter until the ring at the top of the shiftboot rests on top of it.

Not sure how to do the indiglo part tho. Good luck!

Squeeze the front and back of the shift boot at the same time (silver ring around base of ****). While doing this, pull down the front first, then the back will come off naturally (or you can do back first then front, doesn't matter). Unscrew ****.
