suicide trunk hatch......engineering problem
alright, ive been thinking about this, its just a concept, just an idea of creativity, so keep that in mind!
It would be fantastically easy to get a pair of door hinges for teh trunk and put them on teh lower section so it opens in teh opposite direction. To get it to STAY shut (theoretically) hood pins would be the easiest to use, but of course foolish, as anyone could simply pop open your trunk.
this leaves at least two posibilities:
#1 use a lock somewhat like on truck bed covers
#2 somehow fabricate mounts so the trunk latches on teh opposite side.
ive been thinking about those truck bed cover locks, but I have no idea how they work. does anyone know where I cna find pictures of them or can explain in detail how they work?
also, are there any other options that I have not thought of yet? any other way to set teh trunk under lock and key?
the final engineering problem as yet unsolves is how to keep teh trunk sealed tightly. the stripping already there would work great, if there is some way to keep it cranked down while locked.
any thoughts or ways to solve it? any other locking mechanisms (automotive use or other) that I have not thought of yet?

HMMMMM,...well I am an engineer....and this seems like a good challenge.....I'll give it some thought. You know I came up with the hood design...so maybe this want be any harder to develope either..........I'll enjoy thinking about it..."BUT"..if you make me loose sleep thinking about it........I'll be MAD!!!!
