Turn Signals

i dont know exactly where to post this, but this seemed to be the best place. I am getting cleared headlights, and in my state (il) it is illegal to not have an amber turn signal. does anyone know of a bulb that glow orange but looks clear? Know any different ways around this? would installing sidemarkers be sufficent maybe? thanks for any help

I got LEDz that look clear and light up amber.......LEDz don't work properly with Honda's,,,,,,,They only flash when I signal instead of turning on at night with my headlights......

Reason LED's don't work in your car, is because the OEM flasher bulb has dual elements. One runs brighter than the other, so you can have your lights on, and flash with a brighter light. That is the difference between the 7443 and 7440.

With LED's they do make LED replacement bulbs for dual element bulbs, one just runs the led's at a lower current so it isn't as intense as when flashing. I remember someone posted that 3157 bulbs can be used in a 7443 plug.

And you can find 3157 LED bulbs in places that sell APC parts... like Pep Boys, etc. You might be able to find 7443 replacement bulbs on the net, but not entirely sure.

.....

The other method is to use the same idea used on the Philips Silvervision bulbs. Those bulbs are pretty expensive and not sold for our cars. But here is a thread off a BMW site that describes how to make your own.
DIY Silver Turn Bulb.
