DIY Hyperblinker question
I was just looking at the hyperblinker DIY (ph0ng, you need to get the pics back up) and I was wondering if the flasher (see pic below) is the same for the coupe, sedan and older or other Civics/Hondas. They shouldn't have to reinvent the wheel each time so I'm guessing there should be some commonalities between cars. I'd just like to know which cars(please include years) use the same as the Civic coupe and sedan.

The pic looks like its from the sedan.
The coupe and the sedan have different relays.
The sedan has the same relays as older gen. civics.
I wrote up a diy for hyperblinkers on a sedan. If you search it should still be there.
BTW, can a moderator please put up the DIY SEDAN HYPERBLINKERS thread in the D I Y section of the website?
EDIT: I have no idea what other gen. Civics use the coupe relays.

Yeah, I saw your DIY as well as ph0ng's. But the pics didn't work for his DIY so I asked.
I did give it a try afterwards and did notice a difference. The coupe's is a lot smaller it looks.
Now for another question... Which relay does the SiR use? Or does it have its own?
And do any other Hondas use the same relays as any of the 7th gen Civics? If so, I'm off to the junkyard. My first junkyard adventure.

Sorry guys for the Pics on the DIY... I just moved and my server is just waiting for some DNS changes to take place...
But as for the Si, not a clue, someone will have to take thier relay out and do some looking around. I would assume it to be the same as the coupe, but who knows what they did. I mean, they put in a copy of the 6th gen relay into the sedan, so they could be using a different kind for every model.
You should be looking for the resistor that charges and/or discharges the capasitor for the relay. Different resistance will charge/discharge it faster or slower depending on the values you use.
Good luck

Capacitors are fun! I got fried by one once. I just took it out of my camera and accidentally touched the two ends. My body completely froze for a second or two. Those camera capactitors for the flash hold A LOT.
I'm not sure if I've got the right component. Does the resistor look like a little blue rectangle with the number "1333" on it? I'm assuming it's a 133.3K from all I've read. And has anyone removed it? So far, everyone has put it in parrallel with it. I wish the coupe shared the older gen relays. Could go to the junkyard and start selling a bunch of relays. yep, the 1333 is the 133k resistor used in the coupe that you would parrellel.
And yes, someone has removed the resistor completely, myself. After putting LED bulbs in the rear, I had to add resistance to the relay. Only way to do that is to put on a different resistor.
