actually, the manual isn't much help at all... i searched forever for a freakin' chart that showed the bulb codes, and never did find it.
the round white parking light uses a 194 bulb. apc appearantly makes 'em in a bunch of colors; i personally have the apc "super-white" which is tinted blue. the bulb above the parking light (the turn signal) is a 7443, again available in a bunch of colors... your best luck will be searching online parts stores, pepboys/autozone/checker stores only seem to carry white, super-white, and amber bulbs for both styles.
edit: you don't have to take the whole headlight out; but i think that's probably the easiest... check the http://www.7thgencivic.com/diy/ section for the instructions on clearing the headlights (if you haven't already) to get an idea on how to get the headlights out... you have to take the bumper off, but it really is a lot easier than it sounds. the other option is pulling out the pins that hold the fenderwell trim in place, and reaching up through there (blindly) to change the bulbs. you'll get your hands all dirty, a few cuts, and have to kneel on the concrete floor in an awkward position, and probably utter many dirty words trying to do it this way just take the bumper off.. and clear your headlights while you're at it

who said take the whole bumper off to replace the light? all i gotta say is your trippin, why make it hard on yourself... n yes you should learn how to use the index, cause its in there...
Yeah, Just turn your wheels.......Take the clip out of the fenderwelll & just bend it out......Voila,,,secret access hole.........Take you about 30 seconds to change light........If it doesn't work make sure to say Voila!!!!....
You can either take your bumper off or turn the wheel and pull back the well. They're both easy. I believe the number of the bulb if 7443
