CPU chip worries

is it true that if you get a new performance cpu chip it will void your warranty? i wanted to get a jet performance chip but i heard that the warranty will be no good if this is done.

if I put an RSX motor in my car will it void my warranty?

ask your dealer we really couldn't tell ya, some are cool some are not.. my dealer is pretty cool, but then again they haven't seen the NX kit.

Just get it...if ever you want to trade your car in, just go to another dealer to do so.

HAHAHA! That's out of the question. Period. It's like half the cars isn't original anymore... most likely you'll get a warranty for the engine from the installers... make sure you get warranties in paper for all your mods if possible...

check the FAQ on voided warranties. according to honda, bolt ons should NOT void your warranty unless they can be proven to be the cause of the problem if you have one. as far as the jet chip, it most likely will void your warranty, if your dealer knows you have it.

You could also buy a spare ECU and chip that one...tehn if you have a problem swap the OEM one in. I did this with a VW Corrado I used to have and it worked but I am not sure if it could be done with our cars...just a suggestion.
