01 Head Light Problem
I just bought some projection lights for my car, I would like to install them myself. Does anyone know where i can find an installation guide for a 2001 civic ex 2dr?
1) take off bumper
2) take off lights
3) put on lights
4) put on bumper
5)
for a few more details, try the DIY (do-it-yourself) section, and look for instructions on "clearing" the headlights. there's no way of skipping the removal of the bumper -- taking it off IS necessary, but it's a lot easier than it sounds... just be patient and do things right the first time.
also, i've heard that some altezza-style tail lights and aftermarket headlamps have been prone to leaking... you might wanna grab some silicone at the hardware store and add an extra seal, just to be safe.

rice bulbs: blue 7443.
legal bulbs: amber 7443.
surprisingly, the local checker and pepboys didn't have the amber bulbs, but had LOADS of the blue ones. damn rice boys! after looking all over, i gave up and just colored them with an orange sharpie marker. if you do the same, be sure to use the SANFORD brand SHARPIE marker... other "permanent" markers fade fast
of course, if you do happen to find the bulbs... also the 7440 will work, it just won't come on with the parking lights (and won't blink with the remote entry system). it will still blink fine with the blinkers/hazards.
EDIT: nevermind that... i was thinking of clearing the lights... i dunno what bulbs the projectors use, my guess would be to READ THE MANUAL that came with them?!
