Damn, the same thing happened to me, but with some cheap blue lights. The performance shop gave me the wrong wattage, and they blew up in my light. After I showed the guy, he said, "Man, you're lucky. Usually when we give someone the wrong wattage, it fries their wiring harness before the bulb blows up." I was like WTF? I didn't expect some no name brand to cover the "damage", but a company like PIAA should warranty that. Unless it's the shop's fault for giving you the wrong wattage...
Luckily, I had planned to clear my headlights the weekend after it happened, so while I had it apart, I took all the broken glass out.

Call them and ask. We're not PIAA, so why are you asking us? Seriously, why? I don't know?

using the wrong wattage can blow it up? i've been using a higher wattage(not sure what i'll check later) n so far its been fine. even asked the shop n they said that it should be fine, its just going to eat up the battery faster.
