Intake Question:
I know that when you install a whole new intake for our car you have to remove the whole air box thing. I was wondering if it's possible to not install an aftermarket at all and just have a small filter that connects to that air hole where the intake pipe connects. Anyone know what I mean. Just wanted to ask if this will do damage or there will be too much air flow. Thanks

i dont ever remember this topic being disscused. well when i was installing my new injen sri i thought about the same thing as u so i did put the filter right on the throttle body. i took it out for a drive in my area and it would also stick at 3500 rpm. so that is not a good idea.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. However, like spider said, it would probably hit or obstruct the part of the throttle body that the gas pedal wire connects to. You would have to put the filter on and see what kind of clearance you had. If it was close, I would forget about it.
