GUDE Package maybe be a lil bit more pricey than a standard shop's cost, but its much more worth it when u get it PROFESSIONALLY done with a warrantee of some type! pay the extra buck for someone to do it the right way!

Do you sell the unorthodox pulleys?

Does the price for the gude package include shipping?

Mbow: are you still chasing those pulleys around? The UPS tracking says mine will be here Thursday. Might get them installed Friday, not sure.

Boost: do you have dyno on the Gude? I emailed them and the info they shot back to me was pretty generic. Have we got some hard specs on the 2K1 yet. If so, I need to save my money.

To the first question, Yes i sell unorthodox pullies. Last i heard they were just about ready to ship... i will be checking tomorrow morning for myself.. and will let you know! They will run around $340 (sounds pricey, but for 8-10 hp... that's about the same as cat-back gains for less!) To the second question, no.. i don't have the dyno I took Bill's word for it because he's never lied to me in the past. He told me the same thing he told you at first.. but i promise you atleast 40 to the wheels on a stock ex. And no, that price does not include shipping. <<Update!>> Since i'm advertising their package on fliers on the forum, etc. I get an extra discount through Gude. It's not much more.. but i will now sell it for $1450.00 plus shipping! Call me and we'll work out the details. Anytime after 2:00p.m. central time. That way i have PLENTY of time to explain the process since most everyone has lot's of questions.

Did you stay with the group buy vendor or what? I called the guy and he told me 2-3 weeks for them to arrive at my doorstep. Let me know.

AEM'S are around 140-150..and they only provide the powersteering, and alternator pulley. Those pullies were put on a dyno for a 2000 ex and showed 5.5 peak hp. Unorthodox pullies are a three piece set. They provide the same two plus the crank pulley. You are able to get double the hp in some cases. either way most hp in a pulley system comes from the crank pulley. This pulley alone can be over 200 bucks!

Mbow: Yes, I am sticking with the group buy deal. I am tracking my package to my door (May 30?) and will let you know how it goes.

bo0st: Has Gude actually DONE a 2K1 yet? The information I recieved was very generic. I have got to see a dyno before I can cough up $1450. That's a lot of money for something that no one can tell me has been tried FOR SURE. I am trusting your word, and I am familiar with Gude's success in the past, buy I need to wait and see. Just like Mbow, my wife would kill me. I do have a question: I do plan to eventually install a VCN-1000. Is all this Gude massaging highly compatable with that? The plan is also to drop the UR Ultra L Flywheel and Ultra G 6 puck Stage II. Any probs with that and the Gude work? Thanks for the info.

i'll do my best to get hold of some dyno charts guys.. but it may take a while. Any ECU upgrade you do should be fine. Computers are fine.. they conform to your motor. So, i'm assuming that's what you wanting to know about the VCN 1000. I was raised a muscle car guy but that sounds like a chip... it's not one i sell.. but as far as i know... our ecus are more than capable of putting the needed fuel where it needs to be with the Gude package. As far as flywheels, pressure plates, clutches.. they are more than recommended!!! (i'm not much on electronics, but anything else is my field!) I would actually recommend a new clutch.. I'm going with a stage 2 from clutchmasters. That much of a horsepower gain won't be easy on the stock clutch.. plus you need it for quicker launches. Flywheels and all that other stuff will do nothing but help your situation once you have the head package. Better throttle response, and you'll regain lost horsepower with a flywheel. Be patient though.. the flywheel isn't being shipped yet. by the way.. i'm married too.. that's why i didn't have my package a month ago!

and yes, they've done a 2k1 EX and dynoed it. I just need to get my hands on the charts. I've talked to two other techs there.. and they said it kicked ***.

Doing all of this and well and good. But how does the stock parts in the engine hold up when pushed to extremes such as an extra 40hp. I mean all stock parts and port/polish/deck job. Lots of driving involved and I want the car too last...thanks.

yes, you're fine.. it's totally different than a turbo or nos or supercharger. It's NOT forced induction. just clearing up the airways.. and improving the lift.. etc. it also improves gas mileage!

Well, I will look into it then...maybe I can find something interesting. Are you to say the only professionals who do it are GUDE? What about a local known mechanic or something like that? Not the same??

yes, it is compatible with nitrous. The compression will be raised so i'd say the usual 50 shot and nothing is hurt. You can put a 50 shot on a go cart. It's pretty universal! I actually have the NX kit that i'm putting on my ride after my package is installed. Yes the Gude head package will work on a non-vtec LX.. that's just it. You CAN get this done at a machine shop. Except for the price i'm giving you the whole package for.. you usually only get the port and polish. Plus, Gude specializes in Hondas and compact fords. Like i said before.. they're known in the racing world.. so i trust them better than the local redneck at a machine shop. Thanks for all the questions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...... I have a loud stereo in my car..... and if i add the underdrive pullies, won't my lights dim out more, something like we need to get a bigger battery, because the pullies don't keep the battery charged enough???? something like that, anybody wanna clarify that up for me???
Thanks

(But $340 for 8-10HP......)

cheaper than buying an exhaust.... I'd do it

What about the harmonic balancer issue on the crank pulley? Is this a concern or what?

I would only use the crank pulley on race applications not on a daily driver!
