Rep Power: 0 Vinyling the Dash
Has anyone attempted to revinyl the dash or any other part of their car? I'm having trouble getting the vinyl around the corners. I've tried using a hairdryer already. Does anyone know how the professionals do it?

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I'd go with the dye. I had my car broken into a few months ago and I found out its a pain to take off the dash. Its going to cost me close to $600 to get it fixed. $150~ for the dash taupe and $440~ for the install. I tried to do it myself, but I'd have to disassemble the whole dash to get to the dash taupe.
I'd either leave it alone or use the dye. If you mess it up, just be prepared to dump a lot of money in the install.

I also want to dye parts of the dash but can't figure out how to get most of it off.
Rep Power: 0 I guess I have lived a sheltered life or something, but what is this vinyl dye you guys are talking about? Do you spray it on? Or do you use a rag or a paint brush to put it on? Sorry for the dumb question, but I want to customize my interior myself as well and I never heard of putting dye on the dash. Maybe its because I'm new at this stuff.

Rep Power: 0 the whole interior was DIY except my brother in law painted the dash trim pieces for me (hes a professinal painter). o and hes also the guy who did my cars bodywork, just a sidenote. it was easier then people think actually. once everything was out of the car i just taped up some stuff so i didnt get overspray everywhere then just sprayed it. it took about 5 coats to get it to how i wanted it.
