seriously doubt it...

CAI should not affect emissions at all... even if it did... our cars are ulev, and the difference would not be enough to fail.

maybe if you have done IHE, there might be some concern, especially if you took off your cat

As long as you have your CARB EO sticker, then you should be fine...The whole process of getting a product CARB approved is to show that it doesn't put out more smog than stock...My brother had to go to a Test Only center when he got his car smogged. The guy made him pop his hood and pointed out anything without a sticker: headers(cheap hotsshots), ignition, and intake. He has the sticker for the intake at home, ignition is carb approved just needs the number, but his headers are going to have to be replaced before he takes his test again. DO IT RIGHT THE 1ST TIME, spend $50-100 more for the carb approved product or else you might have to deal with all this Shiitttt!!!

If you still have all emmissions sensors and your cat, then don't worry...like it has been said before, our cars are ULEV's

Edit: Oh, yes...do make sure all your i/h/e and ignition components are CARB-compliant...this alone will save you major headaches and $$$$.

dont worry about the cat-back... that doesnt matter... the inspection phase will focus on the Intake , Header, and Cat modifications.

get something CARB-EO or find a smog station that cheats....er.... uh..... did i say that?

edit: dont worry much now, save your intake system and just swap it on in 5 years when you get checked

should have no problems with the aem cai. i asked them this question before i bought my sri and they said that all their intakes will pass smog checks in ca. the injen is not carb legal so therefore its not street legal in ca and not sure if that will pass.
