sticky tach

i drive a 2001 civic has anyone else with a 2001 found that their tach is sticky? like it will not move up smoothly it is jumpy?

My Speedometer is sticky, it jumps around, I hate it. I have a 2000 civic LX. So freakin annoying so i get what your feeling haha. I too would like to know why.
