Trunk light sensor

The light inside my trunk won't turn on anymore. I've tried replacing the light bulb, but no go... Does anyone know where the sensor for the light is? The sensor that will detect when the trunk is open/closed.

It is in the latch assembly, & is connected via multiplex unit in 01-05s.

Cool thanks. I Can't believe things are just breaking one after another on this car (01 ex/si)...

I guess I should be thankful it's the simple cheap things. Not like a whole engine (chrysler) LOL.

Anyone know for 96 civic coupe. Mine is is erractic as well.
