Why does my abs pump run when i go over bumps
Why does my abs pump run when i go over bumps
hey guys,
this has been going on for a while. When ever i go over a big bump i feel my abs pump come on. The bumb doesn't have to be huge either.
Does anyone else have this issue? I doubt this is normal.
I'm not sure where to start trouble shooting. Anyadvice?

its normal, mine does it all the time, BUT you actually have to be pressing on the brake for it to happen. if its coming on by itself just cruising over bumps, somethings wrong with the abs. prolly one of the wheel sensors or the module. its really hard to trouble shoot abs problems and many shops wont even touch it. may have to try the dealer.

the abs pump comes on (should come on) when the pedal is being pressed AND when the wheelspeed sensors have one spinning slower (significantly) than the others.

Yeah I'm fairly sure this is normal. My Civic doesn't have ABS but my parent's Accord does and whenever you hit a huge pothole or something, you can hear the ABS buzzing.
