***WARNING:**** 2K1 CIVIC OWNERS READ

I've been noticing a lot of posts about the 7th gen being crap. TRUE! See these new cars are made with so many safety precations including automatic fuel shut off. What happens is there is a little marble in the tank that sits at a perfect position. If, by chance, you hit a bump too hard it moves and your fuel shuts off and your ecu shuts off and all that crap. It's hard to push once it does shut down too since your car is power steering. Anyways...this option is malfunctioning all over the place. My car was one of them. And about four more cars in my area also. So Becareful...If you come across this here's how to tell...
start your car, if it cranks but doesn't run...then check the gas needle. If it goes up and comes back down then try taking the intake off and pouring gas thru the front intake arm like every other asian does. IF this makes your car run for a short while then it's the fuel pump.

ive had my car not turn over a few times....but then i just turn the key back to the off position and try it again and it works fine. i dont know what youre talking about with this asian thing. but if you want people to take you seriously then its not a good idea to be demeaning like that. im not asian, but im sure that would **** someone off.

Internal combustion engine burns atomized (vapourized) fuel and not liquid fuel.

Pouring gas directly into the intake (from throttle body) could potentially flood and damage your engine since liquid gas is not compressible. After compression, there is a mere [(1650/4) / 9.2 = ~45 cm^3 or the volume of a 3.5cm sided cube) space left.

The safer way is to use the so called "Winter Starter" which you to first crank the engine and have another person spray the content into the intake tube.
The can was labelled to contain propane and butane to aid startup in cold weather.

How could hitting a bump shut of the ECU and the fuel? Don't you think our cars are a little more resilient than that?
