Clutch interlock
Clutch interlock
Hello. New to board and may not be in the right place.
Seems to be enthusiast and performance oriented, which is pretty neat.
I'm just an old dad trying to crank along in my 89 Civic Sedan tho.
So, having said that.............
Are there tricks of the trade to r&r the clutch interlock switch.
I'm lying on my back contorted and having just loads of fun.
Thinking about what components (fusebox) I should be undoing and moving out of the way.
But thought I would ask the experts first.
Thanks.
Larry

Re: Clutch interlock
Hello DieMaster:
I should have been clearer in my original message.
I need to remove & replace the clutch interlock switch.
It's the one that prevents current from getting to the solenoid unless the clutch pedal is depressed. Think it's just a single pole, single throw.
It's located just above the pedal on the "back" side of the hanging clutch lever.
I can see it and its connector clearly looking up from the driver's footwell area; just can't get to it very easily.
Was just looking for any hints, etc., before I start removing stuff "in the way". I know the shops change these out in minutes.
Thanks.
