I'm looking to get a tip for my '97 DX sedan. I'm looking for something that will look good and make it louder than the stock tip.

well tips dont really add much sound if any at all. get something that looks good and fits under the bumper

what will add sound, would i need to change out the whole exhaust system?

i'm new to this stuff and i figured it was time i fix up my baby. its been a whole 12 years and everything is still stock, except for the acura rims i have.

You can do multiple things, you can get just a new muffler, get a axle back exhaust system, a Cat-Back Exhaust system or just change your entire exhaust from the headers. It all depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to get out of it. If its just sound I'd say just get a muffler or axle back system if they have em. Research exhaust systems in general and you can learn about any terminology that you may not have understood.
