yellow headlights

i couldnt find a post about this so im sorry if there is already one. but does anyone know what causes headlights to turn yellow? is it just because its shitty plastic or what?

mostly from UV exposure from the sun. if you take care of them when new by using a good plastic sealer/protectant, then they will stay clear prolly forever. main thing is protection from the sun.

wolfgang clear plastic surface sealant. its just like wax except for plastics. put it on, let it dry, and buff off. doesnt scratch, the coating will bead water and protect from sun for about a month or two.

no, gotta buy online. its professional product so stores wont carry it. costs around $40 for a regular size bottle.

Also, this product does NOT fix your yellow headlights, it only keeps new headlights from going bad.
