Fog Light HELP please…

I bought a set of Depo Fog Lights for my 2003 Civic Coupe, and tried to hook up the interior harness under the steering column and noticed the connecters were not right. One fit but the other was not the right one.

* Does anyone know if the board is different on the 2001-02, as compared to the 2003-05 models?

* Also, anyone know where I can find the right interior harness for the fog lights?

Thanks,

Re: Fog Light HELP please…

forget the connector. buy an assorted pack of female spade connectors. find out which on fits then cut off the harness strip the wire, crimp together

Re: Fog Light HELP please…

not yet, just emailed you manahoonie,

and I did search for older posts but none were of any help to me.

I tried the female spade connector idea, but I also read that using that is not a good idea b/c all connectors should be touched not just 1 or 2 of them.

if I cannot figure it out, I will either sell them to a person who owns a 2001/2002 Civic (who will have no fitment problems) or buy a set of OEM ones and pay a little extra.

Re: Fog Light HELP please…

it ill be fine, i ran that harness on my sidemarkers for about a month before the harness came in. but if you dont feel comfortable doing it its a very easy fix; just cut the wire and tap into another power source, say the 12v accessory socket at the center console. that wire is just your input wire to power the switch and relay, well depending how your harness is set up or modified. just strip the wires and use a small cap. the only difference from doing this and using the fuse box is that the power source will only be on when the car is on or the key is at the access. position instead of constant power
