i am looking for a quick way to get a some more power without turbos or cams i would like to get about 30-50 horse more than stock i have a 03 civic ex completely stock

best bet is to buy a new car then
cause without a turbo, a quick 30-50 hp gain without building the motor for NA is almost impossible.

nitrous doesn't last and it gets expensive to fill and a turbo can have turbo lag and has to be watched carefully cause if it goes then you cant

No offense, but this thread is going to be a flame fest. If you are asking these questions you havent done your homework. There are plenty of threads around this site to refer to. HP is never cheap or easy, nitrous is your best bet but if you are asking us these questions you probably shouldn't be playing with it.

u could try to rebuild a d17.... with high compression pistons, lighter rods, lighter flywheel...cams...plus tuning...

that might give you 30 hp...

I don't understand why you would op for pistons over cam when a cam is so much easier to put in.

You want easy power without the hassle get a crower stage 1 cam there is no tuning or engine mangement needed.

Not possible to do a cheap turbo kit, and its not possible to bolt on an easy 40+ HP. Boost or buy another car are your ONLY options!
