Looking to swap the D Series.

Bye bye d-series sohc. I've got a 98' civic ex coupe with 178k miles, stock motor. I want to do an engine swap this summer. Not looking to do anything crazy. What are my best options? and prices. Also, any online reputable engine sale websites?

B16 +Turbo kit. What and where?
or all motor K20.

How hard would it be to get it in my car?

I love boost. Two of my buddies both have a Twin Turbo 300zx and i just can't get enough of it.

This is my daily driver, so. Like i said, nothing rediculus. I'd like to give the Z a run for it's money. It does mid/high 13's.. What would I need to acomplish that? I just want him to say, WOW, you ALMOST had me! hahah

I also don't want to give a budget, I just want to get some ideas for prices. My uncle and I would be doing the swap.

If it were me, I'd swap in a B18C5 out of a DC2. Great motor, you should be able to get one for reasonable prices that's not stolen. There's all kinds of aftermarket support for that motor/car combination.

Where are you, generally? That might get some more accurate responses on where to get a motor in your locale.

i live in rhode island. Not much to offer in terms of local places that sell engines besides junkyards.

Re: Looking to swap the D Series.

Which, if you're looking to get your hands dirty (I only say that because I would be) might be the way to go. I'm sure you could find a wrecked DC2 Integra with the engine in good shape. It would be a good excuse to rebuild it, too.

But if you're looking to stay on the cutting edge of the scene, you might consider swapping in a K-series. It will be more expensive and difficult, but more rare.
