Engine Check Lamp ON, OBD II P0715

Engine Check Lamp ON, OBD II P0715
Hi,
Check Engine Lamp came on last week in my 97 Civic EX, I took it to dealer this week trying to make use of my extended Emission warranty.
But they say its not a emission related problem and hence my extended warranty will not cover it.
They suggested to do following 3 in order:
Transmission refill 80$
Replace transmission linear Solenoid 266$
Replace transmission 4300$
Any suggestins, what should I do?

P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
does the car work fine? i doubt its a transmission issue and replacing the whole transmission is the stupidest thing ive heard.

try resetting the engine light (either with scan tool or disconnect battery) and see if the light stays off. might be random.
