I have recently went through hell with my 2001 civic lx to get it fixed, which i now have completed. During the process, I banged out the honeycomb inside my Catalytic converter. What is going to be the easiest way to fix this? I checked honda, they want almost $600.00 for the CC. I've looked all over the internet and cannot find one the same as mine, although they do all say universal, direct-fit, just not the same shape. I've also considered just buying aftermarket headers if it ends up being the cheaper route. Just sick of the loud *** noise, lol PLEASE HELP!!!!

you can go to a muffler shop and just buy a oem spec one. I know i got my cat with installation for $130

The LX has the catalytic converter integrated to the exhaust manifold. They're warrantied for 8 years if I'm not mistaken. Take it to the dealership. Tell them your catalytic converter is finished. They'll replace it.

I'd buy skipbarbers. You can also go aftermarket with a setup like honciv02. Check out the FAQ in my sig for some more talk on our exhaust system, it'll give you a better understanding of it.
