Rep Power: 242 Generator belt tension: What tool?
The A/C belt uses a tension screw. The PS belt has a 1/2 inche square cutout for a breaker bar to go into for tension. And the generator has... nothing.
The 2 bolts are loosened, and the assembly is supposed to be moved towards the driver on a rail, but you can't do this simply by pushing it by hand. My generator belt squeeks, and no I don't want to put belt dressing on it.

Is the alternator on a swing bracket? If so, thats the tensioner. Pry the alternator out then tighten the bolt in the track.

Yes it's on a swing bracket, but I don't see how I can pry it out. Are you talking about sticking something in between the rails, and prying?
