h-series is a larger engine so you have a higher chance of losing your ac and ps. B-series has better internals and responds a lot better to boost.
The H-series has a nice amount of torque if you want to stay NA.
If you want to go boost then go b-series.

I also believe that there is a weight difference in that the H22 weighs more (30 lbs or so). BUT they can be fairly fast as this clip shows.

I agree with Temjin though... B-Series = BOOST-Series LOL.

Re: b16/b18 and h22a
Well i already have the H22a Motor, Transmission, and T4 Turbonetics Turbo-Charger in the Hatch... and i was wondering if there should be anything i should look out for... i keeping the boost range at about 4-8psi... is that ok ?
Re: b16/b18 and h22a
If I remember a stock H22 can handle around 12-14 psi if tuned right, but much more then that and even AT that level you should think at least about sleeves. That also depends on if it's closed or open deck. Which H do you got in there?

Do you guys ever have a problem with your suspension, when your placing a larger motor in. I've got a problem with my b18, the suspension is lower on the drivers side of the car. I was wondering if this is just the shitty springs i've got in there. I was thinking i should throw si springs in.

the left side of the car is always heavier then the right side. Both the engine and driver both sit on the left side of the road. Just get coil overs and it'll fix the uneveness.
Re: b16/b18 and h22a
well the h22 has weaker rods for turboing. i noe a few things bout the h22. sure the tranny is weaker. but u can also swap the h23 or f22 tranny into it. the f and h series trannies are interchangeable. the f22 tranny has longer gears which give a betta response to the h22. also the h22 makes a great NA project. although its tru that the h22 does not responde well wit bolt ons. i feel like the h22 is a better motor then the b series. just my personal opinion. the h22 was meant to pull a much heavier car which is the prelude. just imagine it on a lighter car like th civic.

Re: b16/b18 and h22a
i thought the f22c and f20c are not interchange able with the f22 or h22's since the f22c's resemble more to the k series engine.
I think B's are better because of the greater aftermarket support and its geared for more high end power, especially if your going boost.
I do agree for NA project a h22 would yield better results due the greater displacement.
but bang for your buck, boost is the cheapest way to get hp
