Re: diy dent removal?????

No matter the DIY method.. your dent is still going to be there no matter if its concave or convex... there really isnt much you can do yourself with out forking up some money to have it look nice. The metal is streached.

Re: diy dent removal?????

daaammmn that seems hella easy.. did they spray the co2 directly on the dent? it was hard to tell. Oh and im not expecting for it to be completly gone, i know they wont i just want them less noticable. Hondas are pretty much made of tin foil... i park very carefully now

Re: diy dent removal?????

he heated up the dent and the area around it, then sprayed the compressed air directly on the dent. i've read mixed results though, but it probably wouldn't hurt anything so it's worth a try.

Re: diy dent removal?????

Now you know why they cost so much to repair- they are a pain in the ***.

I've actually had plans on trying out that compressed air removal on my sisters car- 89 corolla.

Re: diy dent removal?????

What would happen if there was a slight crease in the dent??? Would it harm the panel more???

Re: diy dent removal?????

It all depends on the dent and where it's at. But if you have a crease on the dent, than forget about it. I've seen it done before and it DOES work. Just depends on how hardcore the dent is....or not.

Re: diy dent removal?????

My sisters fender had the crater of a light pole in it and creased the metal... had to take the panel off, sand it down, hammer it out, prime and re paint.

Re: diy dent removal?????

the DIY only works on areas where the metal is flexible, also the dent must of not creased the metal

Re: diy dent removal?????

it will not, there is a thread regarding this video over at HT and several guys have tried it and no avail, unfortunately the dings are too small for the heat and the sudden cold to have an averse effect
