Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
the third brake light should be in your rear window...
I know that's not much help, I don't mess with wiring enough to feel confident telling you much more.....
Good Luck man....

Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
You remove the original 3rd bulb/socket assembly (twist left to remove)
Once the socket is out remove the connector from the socket (pulls out end)
The 2 connectors you have available now can be coupled easily with the red coupler you mentioned.

Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
so do i need to cut off the end of the third break light the expose the two wires , the part that connects to the actual light assembly, or do i take the assembly out alll together
Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
lol i had the same issue...but it was way easier than u think....look under ur trunk or w.e and just look underneath the rear window brake light thing....ull see sum wires and a socket looking thing just pull it, turn it..w.e and itll fall out.....now look into the back of the socket or w.e its called for two wires going into it...thats ur positive and negative...put in one ur - and + and have sum1 step on the brake to see if ur light comes on..if it doesnt then swithc em around...now wat u want to do is stuff ur cables into this one as deep as they can go (shut up) and zip tie all 4 wires together..or tape them..yes its very jerry rigericious.....but it does work...mine hasnt come loose n works perfect.

Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
yea LT it does but the only problem is the spoiler doesnt have a harness that hooks into the original brake light cable, it just has a red wire and a black wire, no harness to connect to the factory cable harness.

Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
LOL I see now
It sounds like you will need to cut the wires.. but save the harness in case you need to go back to stock... and like thefever said, tap em' to see which is pos and neg.

Re: installing a spoiler need help ASAP
yea, wired the led light on the spoiler into the lines running to the third brake light, works perfectly now. was just a little reluctant to cut any wires as im not too big into wiring so i didnt want to mess up anything electrically in my car and either void my warranty or mess the car up completely.
