Accelerator Kill?

Is it possible to have a kill switch for the accelerator? I want to do this b/c i have a remote start in my car and if I kill the ignition or fuel then the remote start does not work either. I was to be able to use my remote start while also have the protection and security knowing you can't just steal my car with out some sort of hassle. Thanks for your help guys.

the accelerator is cable driven dude. You could disconnect it/reconnect it everytime you get out the car but thats just a pain. You aren't exactly driving a BMW here but if they want to get you, they will get you. I'd be more worried about your stuff getting jacked vs your car.

If you installed the remote start correctly then when the potential thief tries to steel the car it should die. The reason for this is when you hit the brake pedal it should kill the car and you need to hit the brake pedal before you put it in to drive. It should only start when it is in park anyway. So you see remote start should not make it easier for someone to steel your car. Besides most good remote starts are added on to an alarm. The alarm stays armed when you remote start the car. It is only unarmed when you unarm it, to unlock the doors and enter the vehicle. Well that is the correct way to have it installed yours may be different

also alot of alarms with remote start have a e-brake kill. If the hand brake gets dropped before the key is put in the ignition it also dies out.

If you get a good alarm (remote start) it should have that.. If you already have one go to viper.com and see if there's will fit yours. I think there's is actually an e-brake kill
