Neuspeed 1.75 Drop Problems

Hey guys. Its been about a month or 2 since I put on my neuspeed race springs and I noticed when I got them the usual settling noise that we commonly hear
when new springs are put on the car. Well after 2 weeks this noise did not go away and to this day about 1 and a half months later Im still hearing this noise.
It sounds like a popping and crunching when I turn the steering wheel during slower driving and when I hit road bumps and what not it starts to knock. I don't know
what is causing this problem so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

it might be your struts? Where is the noise comming from? when my friends 94 accord was lowered he hear those noises to and ignored them thinking that they were just breaking in. But we went to the place and checked them out and found out the his rear struts were blown. Take it in and have them look at it cuz they shouldnt be "settleing" still.

if you have the race springs, you have a 2.25f/2.0r drop.....that noise can continue for quite some time, i have sprint susp. 2.0 drop, and it took at least two months for them to settle properly and stop making that noise, i wouldn't worry too much about it right now......has it gotten less frequent, or quieter????

a 2 in drop? When I put my coilovers in my car, I found out that my tie-rods catch on the frame only when I turn. That popping sound is probably the frame when your tie-rods bolts catch it. Jack the car up by the front lower control arm and remove the wheel. You should be able to see whatz up(dont forget the lock the wheels with some wood).

Did you remember to put the big plastic washer thing that goes between the upper spring perch and the top of the strut on the front? I just did that when i took my coilovers out to put in my stock springs. Got like 20 feet out of the garage and realized that they were making WAY too much noise....

Could be that the springs are place in the shock the wrong way.
I have the same problem too and I asked a Neuspeed Rep. and this is what he said:
[i]Test[i]
As you have already found out, the writing does not necessarily indicate
proper orientation of the springs. In the case of your front springs,
it sounds to me that either the springs are not oriented the correct
way, or the strut bearing was not installed correctly. The strut
bearing allows the strut and spring to turn as one unit. If it is
installed incorrectly, the spring will turn independently of the strut
causing noise.

So hopefully this will help.

I forgot that the first time too, horrible sound. I can change my springs in under 2 hours now!

Get some speaker wire loom (Black plastic stuff you put wires in to keep them neat) and put 3" pieces of it around all of the bottom part of the spring (the part of the spring that stacks, first 3 or 4 coils from the bottom). This will keep the coils from rubbing when you turn, aleiviating the noise.
