Because with the wideband I can "fine tune" the VAFC2.

My sentting are perfect now with no cam.

When I get the cam I will re tune on the dyno with the wideband.

Perfecting my Air/fuel ratios.

With a wideband you can see WAY more & fine tune Air/fuel.

im not fine tuning **** until my motor is rebuilt. im gonna use the vafc2 to get it to run long enough for me to finish ordering my parts, get my donor block machined, and build that bitch. then im going emanage.

Why buy VAFCII and then emanage.. seems like a waste just get the emanage in one shabang.... maybe I just see it differently. Good luck either way.

I see didn't know you had a deal on the vafc2 that makes sense.

2K5CIVICBOY20, alot of ppl have tried the stage one and love it. Only like 2 ppl used the stage 2 and liked it besides the idle issues and have moved on to bigger projects such as turbo. We are all experimenting here but are excited to seek the results we want.

if you dont mind the rough idle, id opt for the stage 2. the stage 2 probably wouldnt do bad with a mild turbo set up as well, but dont take that to the bank. hell id go with the stage 3 but im daily driving this car and i dont wanna be runnin 8 grand through rush hour traffic just tryin to get some power.

the rough idle is part of the stage 2 cam. caused by bigger lobes. stage 3 is full race. no way to daily drive with it and be practical.

big no on the stage 3 again.

no you can not work out the rough idle....

unless you get EMS.

even with emang you cant adjust idle or rev limiter

you can only adjust ignition with emang.

the stage two is still going to spuder in low RPM's with out EMS or emang

dont forget this...

Hey man you don't "need" emanage or ems it just helps the car run smoother than just a VAFC2. Don't get me wrong its not that much smoother but its just a plus as far as tuning, (ignition timing) and all that jazz. For quicker response get yourself some Unorthodox pullies and lighter flywheel. That was what I was recommended by my friend that sold the cam to me. Also, he said a cam gear would be good to as I've learned cam timing is not the same is ignition timing.

intake, header, exhaust, pulleys, flywheel, upgrade your engine grounds, bypass your throttle body heater if you dont live somewhere where it snows all the time, and some weight reduction. those are some minor mods without getting into engine internals. im about to do a full rebuild with new pistons, rods, sleeves, crank, stage 2 cam, and all the go fast goodies you can cram in a d17.

As listed above good mods...

Its funny I have every thing on your list uncle...

except the throttle heater.

I love my 4 puck clutch and 7lbs flywheel!!!

Watch out tho because of my 4 puck and flywheel.

I F*CKED up my tranny & half shafts!!!

And correct you dont "need" the EMS or emang.

Its all for perfecting your tune!!!
